NSF stands for notes storage facility. It is associated with ibm lotus notes and ibm domino server. It is a special type of format used by lotus notes for databases. All the database files are saved in .nsf file extension. Nsf files can be used effortlessly in offline mode as they save all the information like emails, contacts, tasks etc in a notes format at the desktop. NSF file is also referred as Object Store.If the client makes changes to the database, Domino includes the facilities to synchronize the changes back to the master database.
